The metacognitive data tracker was developed by instructional leaders frustrated by observing low level conversations happening in data meetings. Its unique method of asking students immediately after an assessment why they missed the questions they did provides the teacher with invaluable information they can use to have real conversations around data and next steps.
On this page you will find an instructional video showing how the tracker works as well as google docs with many grade level templates of trackers already created with Texas Science Standards pre-loaded into the form. The templates are easily customizable and simple to use and share.
